Brief Description

This is the 16th year of Issaqueena's Last Ride that offers 32, 61 and 100-mile loops out of Walhalla, SC. The two longer rides start with a tour of the Blue Ridge foothills and then climb the Blue Ridge Escarpment. From there it's a long descent back to Walhalla on the ridge that separates the Chattooga River valley from upstate South Carolina. Breakfast, rest area refreshments and post ride dinner are provided. Tee shirts available for registrations received prior to Apr 16, 2012.

Directions

St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church is located on Main St. in Walhalla, SC. It is an historic church with a tall clock steeple. From I-85, take Exit 1 north approx. 20 miles. Turn left on Hwy 28 (landmarks: Ingles Grocery Store and CVS). Take Hwy 28 approx. 2 miles to church on the left. From Greenville/Easley/Clemson, take Hwy 123 through Seneca to Hwy 28. Turn right and go 7 miles into Walhalla. Church on left.

Facilities

The church will open for check-in and registration at 7:30 AM. Changing rooms and rest rooms are available.

Non-Profit Fundraiser

Issaqueenas Last Ride is a fund raising event for Safe Harbor, a non-profit organization that helps victims of domestic violence, providing safe emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and community outreach and education in Greenville, Pickens, Anderson and Oconee Counties. We have two unmarked, confidential emergency shelters—one in Greenville, one in Anderson—with controlled access and 24/7 staffing. All proceeds from ILR will go to Safe Harbor.
