Brief Description

Tour de Parks is an on-road bicycle tour along the beautiful paved trails and roads of Sarasota County, Florida. It celebrates the 2nd anniversary of the Legacy Trail and the opening of the Roberts Bay trail bridge. The tour features a continental breakfast catered by First Watch Restaurant; rest stops along ride routes with drinks and snacks; mobile SAG support; a full lunch at ride’s end; raffle entry; and a commemorative t-shirt and water bottle guaranteed for those registering early.

Additional Information

REGISTRATION FEE: $35. Registrations will be accepted on the day of the ride, but you must register by March 15, 2010 to guarantee your ride t-shirt. The first 300 riders to register are guaranteed to receive complementary water bottles.

Helmets required. Riders under 14 years require parent’s consent and must be accompanied by an adult on the ride.

PLEASE DO NOT MAIL IN REGISTRATION FORMS NOW, AS WE WILL NOT RECEIVE THEM IN TIME. YOU CAN REGISTER ON-LINE UP TO MIDNIGHT FRIDAY OR ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. Ride check-in opens 7 AM at the Venice Train Depot, 303 East Venice Ave, Venice, FL 34285.

(Directions: From I-75, take Exit 193 and travel South on Jacaranda Blvd. Turn right onto East Venice Avenue and go 3.4 miles to road’s end at the Intracoastal Waterway.)

Breakfast From 7 to 8:30 AM; 65 & 35 Mile Rides Start at 8 AM; 15 Mile & Family Ride/Walk Start at 9 AM; Lunch 11 AM to 2 PM.
All ride support ends at 2 PM. No rain date, no refunds.

This event is presented by Friends of The Legacy Trail, a chapter of Friends of Sarasota County Parks. We are a non-profit group of local citizens promoting the rail-trails of Sarasota county. The ride is a benefit for parks and trails in Sarasota county and all proceeds go to support parks and volunteer efforts. We have 501C(3) non-profit status and all donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
