Brief Description

This Memorial Day, cyclists from all over Louisiana and beyond will be headed for the quiet streets and country lanes of West Feliciana Parish when the second annual West Feliciana Classic Bicycle Festival rolls into town. Truly an event for cyclists of all ages and stages, the West Feliciana Classic features a variety of rides and races designed to appeal to everyone, from casual cruisers and kids, to touring riders, mountain bikers, hardcore racers and everyone in between.

West Feliciana Classic Stage Race

Time Trial on May 29th at 8am from Hemingbough Cultural Center. Criterium on May 29th at 2pm begins near the corner of Prosperity and Royal Streets in downtown St. Franscisville. Event held under USA Cycling Permit. On Sunday, May 30th, road race starts at 8am. Categories include Pro 1-2, Category 3, 4, 5, Junior, Women, Master 40+ and Master 55+. $10,000 total prizelist.

BRBC Century Ride

The Baton Rouge Bicycle Club rides follow routes along the scenic highways and byways of the Feliciana parishes. Ride lengths are: Century (100 miles, departing at 7:30 am) for experienced riders. Half and Metric (50 and 61 miles, departing at 8:00 am) for recreational and fitness riders. And, Quarter (21 miles, departing at 9:00 am) for more casual, recreational riders and families. Rides depart from the West Feliciana Sports Park on May 30th. Early registration $25, day of the ride $30.

BRASS Family Ride

Designed for beginner riders, kids and families, Baton Rouge Advocates for Safe Streets' Family Ride promises family-style cycling fun during a scenic, 15-mile tour of St Francisville area byways. Approprate for riders from ages 8 to 80. $10 includes refreshments and a ride t-shirt. Ride is May 30th, 8 am registration, 9 am departure from the West Feliciana Sports Park.

BRAMBA Mountain Bike Race

A gruelling event organized by the Baton Rouge Area Mountain Bike Association. This race pits riders in beginner, sport and expert categories, against one another, around the technically challenging, 5-mile "Beast" trail at the West Feliciana Sports Park. Race starts at 9 am on May 30th. Registration fee $25.

Directions to the Sports Park from Baton Rouge, LA

Take I-110 North to Hwy 61(scenic Hwy). At the intersection of Hwy 61 and I-110 take a right on Hwy 61(north) towards St. Francisville for approximately 25 miles. Continue on Hwy 61 through St. Francisville. Drive another 1.4 miles after you pass the intersection of Hwy 10 and Hwy 61. Look for the signs to the entrance of the West Feliciana Sportsplex (between the Dollar General Store and the Mobil station). Turn right on West Feliciana Parkway and follow the road down to the end.
