The Savannah Bicycle Campaign was organized in March 2008 to advocate for bicycling and bicyclists in Savannah. With represention from existing cycling groups, interested citizens, bike shops, and students, the Savannah Bicycle Campaign (SBC) was formed to promote bicycling for recreation, transportation, and fun! The SBC is working to educate cyclists and motorists about safely sharing the road, to advocate for improved bicycling facilities and to encourage bicycling by Savannahians of all walks of life.
A Labor Day weekend tradition, the Savannah Century, a sponsor of the Midnight Garden Ride, will also roll on September 4th and 5th. Riders who choose to do all events: Saturday morning ride (Sept 4), Midnight Garden Ride (Sept 4), and the Savannah Century on Sunday, September 5th can do so at a reduced rate, but must do so through the Savannah Century entry: http://www.active.com/cycling/savannah-ga/savannah-century-2010
