Come with us on Santa Fe's 28th Annual Century Ride. A hundred miles of history pass under your wheels as you cycle down the ancient Turquoise Trail through the old mining towns of Madrid and Golden, across the mineral rich Ortiz and San Pedro Mountains, across the Estancia Valley through the villages of Cedar Grove and Stanley and on to the very old village of Galisteo, and 100 miles after your start, wheel back into Old Santa Fe. In addition, there is a Half-Century Loop and 25, 50mile Out & Back rides to Eldorado, Galisteo, and Stanley respectively.
CENTURY VENUE: The Century venue is at The Christus St. Vincent
Regional Medical Center at the corner of St. Michael's Drive and
Hospital Drive in Santa Fe. A direction map is available on our web

CENTURY RIDE: A hundred miles of history pass under your wheels as

the Galisteo Basin to the very old village of Galisteo, and 100 miles after
you start, wheel back into Old Santa Fe.
HALF-CENTURY RIDE: The route follows the Century route out
along Hwy. 14 to Rd. 42 (19.2 miles from the start). Left on Rd. 42 and
across 9.5 miles to Galisteo to rejoin the Century route.
OTHER RIDES: Out & Back: Starting from the Century venue: 25 and
50 mile "out & back" to Eldorado and Galisteo respectively.
REGISTRATION: There are two ways to Register for the Century
Option 1. Register Online:
On our website (www.Santa Fe Century.com), go to the Registration
page and follow the instructions. Online registration closes at midnight
May 14, 2013. You will need to bring your Online Registration
Confirmation Receipt, emailed to you from Active.com, to pick up
your ride kits.
Option 2: Late Registration: At the Century Venue, Saturday,
May 18th, 5:00-7:00 PM or Sunday, May 19th, 6:00-8:30 AM.
Note: A fee of $10.00 will be added to late registration.
Mailed Registrations will not be accepted & will be returned
to the sender

100 mile rider $25.00.

OPTIONAL DONATION:We suggest a $25 donation be made to Christus St. Vincent's Regional
Cancer Center (CSVRCC). The donation can be made on our website
(www.SantaFeCentury.com) or mailed to The Santa Fe Century,
P.O. Box 1245, Santa Fe, NM 87504. Donations are optional and not
required to ride the Century. They are 100% deductible.
COURSE DIFFICULTY: All rides start at the Century venue.
Detailed maps are in the Ride Kits and at www.SantaFeCentury.com.
The maps show the routes and mileages to and from the Food-
Stops. All the routes are carefully marked with signs along the entire
distance. This is a medium difficult Century with rollers, ascents and
descents, but with a major stretch of flats and easy rollers.
SUPPORT: Sag Wagons patrol the routes to help the riders. In
addition, volunteer mechanics will help with repairs, small parts,
tires & tubes at the Food-Stops. In case of injury, medical assistance is
available from the fire districts along the routes. Phone 911.
FOOD-STOPS: There are 6 FOOD-STOPS with snacks, fresh fruit,
energy drink, and water staffed by Volunteers: Madrid (Century 25
miles), Heart Break Hill (Century 38 miles), Cedar Grove (Century
48 miles), Stanley (Century 62 miles), Galisteo (Century 82 miles),
Eldorado (Century 93 miles). The routes are rural and what stores
there are may not be open.
Equipment: A multiple-gear bicycle with a low gear of 34" or
less is suggested. Spare tube, patch kit, pump, and basic tools are
recommended. A bicycle tune up is advised prior to the event.
Personal Items: Water bottles, sunscreen, lip-balm, sun glasses, long
sleeve shirt, and a wind breaker if the weather happens to be chilly.
ANSI approved helmets are mandatory.
MEALS (at the Century venue): Prepared by the Aramark Food Services, St. John's College.
Both Breakfast and Lunch menus are on our website.
Breakfast Buffet: 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM, $6.00 paid in advance with your Online Registration.
Lunch Buffet: 12:20 PM - 5:00 PM, $7:00 paid in advance with your Online Registration.
T-SHIRTS: Santa Fe Century T-shirts are 100% cotton Hanes
BEEFY-T shirts with multicolored art work on the back and the
Century logo and date on the left front. This year's Long Sleeve are
Heather Ash color ($16.75), Short Sleeve are Sunshine Yellow color ($13.75).
T-Shirts must be ordered and paid in advance with your Online
Registration before Monday, May 6th at www.SantaFeCentury.com.
However, for an increase in price, a limited quantity of T-Shirts can be
purchased at the Century venue Sunday after 1:00 pm.
Shirts not claimed on the day of the event will not be mailed to riders.
LODGING & TOURIST INFORMATION: Santa Fe has a wide
price range of accommodations. In addition to local hotels, all of the
national chains have motels in Santa Fe. To locate accommodations
for the price and location you want, phone the motel chain 800
number listed in your local Yellow Pages. Or, visit the Santa Fe web

7:00 AM Early riders start.
7:30 AM Most riders start.
8:00 AM 50 mile riders start.
8:30 AM 25 mile riders start.
12:30 PM-5:00 PM Lunch $7.00 prepaid with your Online
Registration. Later in the afternoon and
if the food lasts, a few lunches can be
paid at the door.
5:30 PM Routes swept for remaining riders,
Sag support ends.
SAFETY
- ANSI approved helmets are MANDATORY!
- The New Mexico State Police, other law enforcement agencies, and
the New Mexico National Guard will be out to help the riders.
- Don't ride more than 2 abreast.
- This is an open course and riders must observe and obey all
traffic laws. Please be courteous to local traffic and drivers.
