This year marks the 37th anniversary of the Midnight Madness Fun Bicycle Ride. Starting in 1973 as a tribute to Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride, this landmark San Diego event has grown from a few hundred local riders to over 1,600 participants. Midnight Madness has truly become a renowned family friendly bicycle ride in Southern California.
Midnight Madness offers one of the most scenic routes for bicyclists anywhere. Cycling around Harbor Island and Shelter Island offers riders unique and spectacular views of downtown San Diego.
And of course the ride wouldn't be the same without the crazy contests!! The Light the Bike and Alaska Airlines Costume Contest brings out the creative and fun side of bicyclists. All riders are welcome to participate in either contest for a chance to win great prizes.
