MIDWEST'S MOST PICTURESQUE SPRING RIDE.
Our 34rd annual event features a delightful route starting on Main Street in Rockton, IL. Plenty of parking, rest rooms and food are included to ensure you enjoy the beauty of this spring ride in the country. Four routes are available, offering something for everyone.
Fee
We are excited to contribute $1 for each rider to the League of Illinois Bicyclists to support their advocacy efforts.
60-Mile Ride
Shift into high gear for this 60-mile trek through the rolling hills of northern
Illinois and southern Wisconsin. You’ll pass sprouting farmland, visit
charming villages and cruise along the scenic Sugar River.
45-Mile Ride - NEW LONGER ROUTE WITH SAME GREAT SCENERY
Rolling countryside, quaint towns, and unspoiled views along the Sugar
River sets the stage for this tour. The Duck Pond and Beckman Mill are
old favorite rest stops on this NEW longer route without the Wisconsin
HILLS.
30-Mile Ride

on this route.
10-Mile Ride - NEW FAMILY ROUTE
Any age or skill level can experience cycling on village streets and a
paved bike trail. The villages of Rockton and Roscoe are true delights
that should not be missed. (No supported rest stop but several commercial
stops available)

We love these routes so much that we will offer you the opportunity to ride on both Saturday and Sunday. Choose the day that fits your schedule best - or ride both days. (There is a small additional fee for riding both days.)
Excellent Support Provided
A detailed route map and cue sheet, sag wagons and exceptionally
well-marked roads are what you can expect from the Blackhawk
Country Roads ride. Rest stops are well stocked with high-energy
snacks, refreshing drinks and sweet goodies.
Start/Finish
The ride starts and finishes at Greater Rockton Centre in Rockton,
Illinois. Registration and check-in is from 7 a.m.–11a.m. We suggest
60-mile riders begin by 9 a.m. Parking (w/rest room) is at Hononegah High School.
And it's easy to get to
Exit I-90 at Riverside, turn left (west), go 1 mile to Perryville Rd., turn right (north), go 4.2 miles to Rt. 173, turn left (west), go 1.4 miles to Rt. 251, turn right (north), travel 4.6 miles to Hononegah/Elevator Roads, turn left (west), on Hononegah Road for 3 miles. The Hononegah High School is on the right.
