Brief Description

2nd Annual Ride to the Border followed by an AFTER RIDE SOCIAL at Frankie's Italian Restaurant. Ride starts at 9:30 am from the parking lot next to Frankie’s. Ride as far as you’d like! You can ride to the Alabama/Georgia border and back for a total of 48 miles. Or, you can turn around at any point on the Silver Comet for a shorter ride. The ride is FREE for all participants!

AFTER RIDE SOCIAL - Noon until 3:00 pm

Join the AFTER RIDE SOCIAL for a nominal fee at Frankie’s Italian Restaurant in Rockmart, GA. Frankie is serving All-You-Can-Eat Pizza, Hot Garlic Breadsticks & New Belgium Fat Tire Beer* for participating adults. *VALID ID REQUIRED. Frankie's Hot Breadsticks have become the mantra of the Silver Comet Trail. A portion of the proceeds support the ATLBike Trail Foundation a 501(c)(3) non-profit which maintains & cleans the Silver Comet Trail for your enjoyment.

NEW RIDER WORKSHOP & RIDE

If you are new to bicycling, SIGN UP for our workshop to learn the secrets of experienced cyclists. All bicyclists were new to the sport at one time and many of us learned by trial and error. The workshop will include a 30-minute seminar followed by a ride on the Silver Comet accompanied by our coaches. There is a LIMIT to 15 participants so please RSVP to Event Director. There is NO COST for the workshop.

FRANKIE'S 9th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Frankie’s Italian Restaurant is a well-known destination for bicyclists all over the country. One block from the Silver Comet in Rockmart GA, Frankie welcomes bicyclists serving her famous hot garlic bread sticks. Since opening the restaurant 9 years ago, the walls at Frankie's have become a monument to all bicyclists that have stopped to fill their water bottle or refueled with a mouthwatering meal. Join us to celebrate with Frankie and be sure to sign the wall.
