The STIHL Tour des Trees is the signature fundraising event of the TREE Fund, a 501(c)3 foundation providing funding for scholarships, research and educational programs in arboriculture and urban forestry.
The 20th Anniversary Tour des Trees embarks from Portland August 5 on a counterclockwise loop through Oregon, showcasing the state's rugged coast, vineyards, orchards and high desert in one unforgettable week. Douglas firs, Mount Hood and the Columbia Gorge provide spectacular backdrops for 585 miles of cycling, tree plantings, community engagement and fun.
The Tour returns to Portland August 11 for a 1-day "Ride for Research" and heroes' welcome at Laurelhurst Park during the International Society of Arboriculture's annual conference and International Tree Climbing Championship.
Full Tour riders commit to raising a minimum of $3,500 to support tree research and education. Riders may opt to join the Tour en route, with a fundraising commitment of $600 per day.
