Brief Description

This is Utah’s only fully supported 1 day, 200 mile cycling adventure, and it follows a spectacular route through the heart of Utah's Color Country. Traveling on some of this country’s most scenic back-roads, you will pass by national parks, historic communities and vistas of the old west; it’s almost as if traveling through history itself! Come and experience the old west for yourself and become a desperado!

What you get

All participants will receive the following: Pre-ride party at check in. Event tech shirt. Fully stocked rest stops. A great lunch. Roving SAG support. Post ride dinner (for 200 mile riders).
This years event will also be timed!

Requirements

All riders will be required to sign an event waiver. Participants must wear an ANSI approved helmet at all times, must have a legal lighting system after sunset (front & rear for 200 mile riders), carry proper ID, and abide by all traffic laws. Riders must have a bike in good and safe working condition and carry at least 2 large water bottles.

Directions

For travelers coming from either the north or the south you simply follow Interstate Highway 15 to exit #95 in Utah, where you will take Hwy 20 East. This brings you to Hwy 89 where you will turn right (south) for 7 miles to Panguitch. It couldn’t be easier!

Friday, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Pre ride party and check in at the Panguitch Social Hall (55 E. Center St). You won't want to miss this!

Saturday, 5:00 am

Late check in and registration begins for all riders.

Saturday, 6:15 am

Pre ride meeting at start line for 200 mile riders at the Social Hall.

Saturday, 6:30 am

Mass start for 200 mile riders only.

Saturday, 6:45 am

Pre ride meeting at start line for 100 mile riders at the social hall.

Saturday, 7:00 am

Mass start for 100 mile riders.

Saturday, 11:00 am

Lunch opens for all riders at the Social Hall. Lunch will be served until 3:30 pm.

Saturday, 4:30 pm

Post-ride meal will be served from 4:30 pm until 10:00 pm.

Saturday, 11:00 pm

Course closed, post ride meal finished, all remaining riders will be sagged in.

Tandems

Tandems teams are welcome of course, we simply ask that you register individually, and notify us of the names of each rider in your tandem team. You can tell us by email, phone, or in person at check in. Thanks.

Extra tech shirts and visors will be available for advance purchase. Please be sure to order any additional shirts when you register.

Weather

Late summer in Utah can offer a wide range of weather conditions. Typical weather for Panguitch in July is, mornings in the mid 50’s, reaching the mid 80’s by the afternoon. This can also be thunderstorm season and afternoon showers are not unusual.

Driving Times

Only 3 hrs from Las Vegas, 3 1/2 hrs from Salt Lake City, 7 hrs from Los Angeles, or 7 hrs from Denver.
