This new addition to the Chico Velo Century Series has been enjoyed by local riders for years.
There is one 77-mile loop offered. The route goes south from Orland to Willows on flat country roads, then heads west to Elk Creek. There’s one three mile climb before coming into Elk Creek. The route then turns north along Stony Creek, Grindstone Creek coming out of the Yolla Bollys, to Chrome, Burrows Gap and then into Newville. Turning east, the course rolls past Black Butte Lake and into Orland for the finish dinner at the Glenn County Fairgrounds. Helmets are REQUIRED!
When: Sunday, March 25th- rain or shine. Registration and start between 7AM-9AM.
Where: Glenn County Fairgrounds. Take I-5 to Orland and exit at Hwy 32. Head east towards Chico, turning south on Woodward Ave. to the Glenn County Fairgrounds. Camping is available.
How Much: Fee is $35.00 per person if you register by March 23rd, $40.00 thereafter. Three food and drink stops on the course, plus dinner at the finish in the best of Chico Velo traditions.
