Fee

Registration is $95 for Gran Fondo Long, $65 for Gran Fondo Medium and Short. Off Road Tour is $55. AFTER MARCH 21, 2010, A $20 LATE FEE WILL BE ASSESSED.

 

Tandems

Tandems can ride any distance Fondo. Riders costs are double the individual and will be added to the transaction at the point of selection. ONLY ONE Captain's registration transaction is needed for a tandem.

   

Additional Information

Racing License

There is NO USA Cycling Racing License required to participate in this event.

There are NO field size limits on any event at the 2010 Sea Otter Classic. For technical reasons, the Gran Fondo registration process works that a base entry cost of $65.00 is applied initially and the later selection of Long adds the additional $30 to that specific response to meet the $95.00 total Gran Fondo Long entry.

Special Gran Fondo Long Distance Jersey
Compliments of SPECIALIZED, the first 250 Long Distance Gran Fondo registrants will receive a cycling jersey. This special value has sold out for 2010. 

Athlete Registration Information:

1. Online pre-registration closes on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 12 midnight Pacific.
2. Mail-in and fax registrations will NOT be accepted.
3. All participants are required to sign a waiver/release form at Athlete Registration. Participants under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardian to sign the waiver form IN PERSON.
4. ANSI or SNELL - approved helmets are required for all cycling events.
5. Each registered athlete will receive:
One (1) Four-day Festival Pass - Value $30.00. Includes free parking and expo entry.
6. There are absolutely no Refunds of Entry Fees. Prior to April 11, 2010, requests for Event and Category changes within an Event will be complimentary and can be done by emailing gail@virtualroster.com. You will be responsible for any increase in entry fee.  There will be no refunds for reduced entry fees. After April 11th, Event change requests will only be accepted on-site at registration.  Registration opens at 12 noon on April 14th.  A $10.00 fee will be charged for each Event change. Category changes within an Event must be done on-site. You will be responsible for any increase in entry fee.  There will be no refunds for reduced entry fees.

For the Mountain Bike Off-Road tour, Kids under 12 ride and eat free if accompanied by an adult! REGISTRATION for those under 12 will occur on-site ONLY - no need to pre-register!!!
A note of caution - the Mountain Bike Off Road Tour is NOT suitable for trailers and/or children under the age of 10.

Registration for all events closes the day prior to the event at 6pm. There will be NO day-of race registration - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Important General Event Information:

1. Pets are NOT allowed at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area, including campgrounds, during special events. This is a Monterey County Parks Department regulation. Please leave your dog and other pets at home.
2. Reserved parking is available near the registration area for carpoolers. Carpooling is defined as four (4) or more people per vehicle. Buses do not apply.
