Brief Description

The PINE MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE for VHcS is a GREAT RIDE for all cyclists from Beginners to Competitors, Children and Adults! If you have always wanted to give cycling a try this is the ride for you. For competitors, if you want to go for the record and break last year’s best time for the 100 miles we are there to support you with a ride marshal escort!

Enjoy our Southern Spin on Cycling at the PMC

Conveniently located just north of Columbus in west central Georgia, Pine Mountain and the beautiful country side between Columbus and Pine Mountain offers the perfect terrain. In its fourth year the Pine Mountain Challenge 2010 has drawn an army of volunteers to manage this event. Registration begins Friday, September 24, 2010 from 2 pm-5pm at Ride On Bikes and The Bike Shop in Columbus, Georgia. Registration opens September 25th at 7 a.m.

Additional Information

Mobile SAG stops provide needed fluids and easy energy snacks. 5 large SAG stops are loaded with Food and Fluids! County Sheriffs will be at the major road intersections and along the route to assist cyclist with those tricky left turns and traffic! Motorcycle Ride Marshals and Mobile SAG trucks roam the route and provide support for the cyclist out in front of the pack and the cyclist that close out the ride. Cell Phone contact with ride support is provided along with local EMT and Sheriffs. Local Bike Shops provided Mechanical SAG support with trailers for the bikes and a courtesy ride for you. There is no Guess Work with the ROUTE! We mark the entire route with flags and all turns will be marked with signage.
