Brief Description

Experience the surf, sand, and smells of summer along California's coastline. The Beach Babe Bicycling Classic is an insider's journey of the ultimate beach life of waves and wicked wahini. Be one of 200 women who will participate in Southern California's first women's only ride. Created by women, for women, this ride begins a new chapter in cycling herstory!

Costume Contest

What IS a Beach Babe? How does she show her style? And can she play a ukulele while riding a bike? Wear your best theme costume and win!

Judge's Review

The best Beach Babe costume will be decided by our panel of judges and by Applause-O-Meter (loudest applause wins!) Judging begins at 7:45AM and will be announced before the ride departs at 8:00-8:15AM.

What do I GET?

Event registration includes one great ride, access to rest stops, refreshments, emergency support, event insurance, and finisher's gift.

Smart Babes Come Prepared!

Sure, you're a beach babe, but you can still fix a flat and pump a tire! Make sure your bike is in good working order, have a repair kit, 2 water bottles and cages, and pump with you. Our Beach Bum volunteers will have their hands full at the rest stops. Come prepared for safety and fun. You're a BABE not a BABY!

Additional Information

The Beach Babe Bicycling Classic departs from hip and chic Long Beach, winds along the beach bike trail toward the Belmont Shore Peninsula with a tour through fabulous Naples Village, around the marina and to neighboring beach towns of Seal Beach, Sunset Beach, and Huntington Beach and back to Long Beach for festivities. Held in conjunction with Jones Bicycles 100th Anniversary party, we'll depart at 8:00AM from Jones Bicycles, enjoy a 30 mile cycling pleasure cruise and return to Jones Bicycles for a celebration you won't want to miss.
