Why We Ride

Imagine: You’re awoken at night with slight twitches in one of your limbs. Your speech begins to slur. You’re fatigued by small tasks and suddenly begin to fall inexplicably. You seek medical counsel but are given no satisfactory answers. That is often the beginning of the devastating journey of a patient with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Within a short time, many patients find themselves wheelchair-bound, unable to communicate, and trapped inside of a body that no longer functions.

Additional Information

Regardless of which route, participants can count on support from start to finish with crewed rest stops, SAG drivers, and the safety team. Upon completing the tour, riders are welcomed back by cheering crowds. The finish line festivities include entertainment, complimentary massages, a healthy lunch, and exciting demos.
