The events this year include the Keyesville Classic XC, Short Track, the Rocky Gorge / Tombstone Ridge Downhill, Trials Competition and an entertaining kid’s race. And a just for fun Hill Climb Event. The Bionicon All-Mountain Stage Race will once again be the spotlight of this year’s event, challenging riders to compete in XC, DH and Short Track on exactly the same bike.
Race Packet pickup will be at Ride KRV Bike Shop / Bionicon USA HQ in Kernville. The Kern River Brewing Companyhas invited participants to come in on Friday evening and socialize, enjoy the good food and drinks.
The Pro racers will be competing for a 100% Payback cash purse.
All competitors are entered in the ever-popular Keyesville prize raffle, a wide variety of food and beverage services will be available adjacent to the Manufacturer’s Expo Area.
Bionicon Bicycles is located near the venue in Kernville, CA where they assemble the bikes for the US market. The Southern Sierra Fat Tire Association, an incorporated nonprofit mountain bike club, is a volunteer organization consisting of groups of dedicated cyclists in the Kern County area. These groups work in close cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management, the residents and merchants of the Kern River Valley region and the Lake Isabella Chamber of Commerce to make the Keyesville Classic a reality. This year, the Keyesville Classic is being held in conjunction with the Living Green Kern River Valley Festival.
