Brief Description

Join us for the Inaugural Marble Festival Burnt Mountain Bicycle Ride on October 7, 2012. A Climber’s Paradise, Burnt Mtn offers incredible views and low traffic roads only 60 miles North of Atlanta. The 26 mile route ascends Burnt Mtn where you refuel before 10 mile descent. The 50 and 62 mile routes go over Burnt Mtn to spectacular roads through the valley then return up the 5 mile (easy) side of Burnt Mountain only to be rewarded by a 10 mile descent.

King & Queen of the Mountain Challenge

Cartecay Bike Shop in Ellijay is Sponsoring the Burnt Mountain KOM & QOM! The winner of each category will receive a changing KILT ($70 value) made from 100% cotton flannel, handmade by Terry Palmeri. Riders participating in the KOM & QOM will receive a wrist band & have a group start at 8:00 am (weather permitting). All others have option of Show & Go up to 9:30 am.

Registration Open from 7:00 am to 9:30 am. Show & Go Start from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. Included in Registration: 2 Admission tickets to Georgia Marble Festival & Cyclist Tote Bag. Rest Stops supported by our local Boy Scout Troop & SAG vehicles provided by local cyclists. All routes will be patrolled by our bicycle friendly Pickens County Sheriff office. Registration Forms?
