Brief Description

Pedal the Park is a ride that not only allows cyclists to see the beautiful back roads of Mecklenburg, Iredell, and Cabarrus counties, but also raises money for the Levine & Dickson Hospice House, which is an organization that gives excellent care to those who are sick. The two course options follow roads that are surrounded by farm land and have rolling hills and flats, which make it fun for every rider!

Additional Information

Pedal the Park will begin and end at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House in the Huntersville Business Park. The 30 and 60 mile marked routes will exit the back entrance of The Park and travel by police escort through the Town of Huntersville. Both routes will turn right onto Ramah Church Road and enter the beautiful terrain of Mecklenburg, Iredell, and Rowan counties. There will be a short out-and-back section of the route before entering a loop that travels the country roads of Iredell County. The routes are rolling and will be well supported with food, water and SAG wagons. The routes will travel roads with little traffic but will cross busy highways; please use caution when crossing major intersections. For the casual cyclist, a 3-mile Fun Ride around the inner-loop of The Park-Huntersville will be offered. This is a self-paced ride – not a race! This ride is for cyclists of all abilities and ages. Helmets are required: all riders must wear an approved helmet and obey all traffic laws. No headphones allowed. All registered riders will sign a waiver and release form on the day of the event. Safety support and gear (SAG) vehicles, rest stops with fruit and water and route maps will be provided
