Brief Description

Enjoy the rolling hills of Orange, Chatham and Alamance Counties while supporting the MS Society. and transplants.org. Great SAG support provided by the Triangle Radio Amateurs, marked roads, stocked rest stops and hopefully a great September day for riding. Lunch on Subs from Jersey Mike's, Mediterranean Deli salads and ice cream from Maple View Farms. Earn MS credit, volunteer. I need you!

Another Ride for MS, Sat. Aug 18

Aug. 18 sign up to ride in Dog Days of Summer put on by Team GSK. Register at velofan@mindspring.com. Starts from Carrboro, NC and benefits the MS Society.

Directions from Raleigh

Take Exit 261 on I-40 Go Right on the Exit Ramp (toward Hillsborough) Go 1.27 miles on Old Chapel Hill-Hillsborough Rd./ Old Hgwy. When Old NC-86 becomes S. Churton St. straight for 1.43 miles. R on Margaret Lane. It is only a short distance to the grassy area where registration/food etc. is.

Directions from Greensboro

Take I-40 East via Exit 21 toward Raleigh/Durham Take I-85 N/NC-86 Truck S toward Durham for 1.5 miles Take Exit 164 on I-85 Left on the Exit Ramp (toward Hillsborough) 1.36 miles on S. Churton St. R on Margaret Lane. It is only a short distance to the grassy area where registration/food etc. is. .

Additional Information

If Severe Weather is forecast for the 22nd, date of the ride will change to the 23rd. Routes will be 30 and 60 miles only and may not include lunch. Note the routes used only overlap a little with Bikefest. Bikefest is a separate identity.
