Brief Description

The Duathlon includes a 2.2 mile run; 16 mile bike; and 2.2 mile run to the finish along the Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway. The Byway celebrates its 5th anniversary as one of America's Byways®. This event raises funds for the Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway Coalition, Inc. a 501(c)(3), a not for profit that oversees Byway implementation.

Refund Policy

Event will be held rain or shine. No refunds will be granted unless event is canceled due to snow or icy road conditions.

Additional Information

A Byway medal will be awarded to the first three individual finishers in each 10 year age category. Medals will also be presented to the first place male, female, and mixed team finish. Day of race registrations will be accepted provided total participants do not exceed 200. This event is sanctioned by U S A Triathlon. All U S A Triathlon rules apply. Registration limited to 200 for public safety.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
