Brief Description

The Summer Motion Bicycle Tour (A Ride Between the Parks) is a selection of three different scenic and challenging routes each starting and finishing at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park. All rides are on paved roads. The long ride (100 miles) and the medium ride (60 miles) will go through Carter Caves State Resort Park. Giveaways - All early registrants (those received on or before June 16th, 2012) will receive a high tech event T-shirt. Awards - Recognition will be given to those who complete any of the three rides, with special recognition to anyone who runs in the Summer Motion 10K on Saturday and completes one of the three rides on Sunday. Check In & Late Registration - Check in and pick up your ride packet June 30th at the Ashland Central Park Bandstand from 5PM to 8PM. or July 1st at Greenbo Lake State Park at the Amphitheater (Start/Finish area) from 6AM to 9AM. Food - Pizza with soft drinks will be at the registration area on Saturday, June 30th. The SAG stops will include some surprise items. A post ride picnic is scheduled at the start/finish area on Sunday, July 1st. Summer Motion - Summer Motion is one of the South’s greatest festivals. And it’s free. Come early and enjoy the activities in Ashland’s Central Park and stay to enjoy the free Concerts on Ashland’s beautiful river front. Summer Motion always has outstanding talent at the concerts.
