The Fin's Spin is a benefit ride for the Don Kriz Youth Farm, a local foster care program for kids. And, LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation.
Start time is 8:00 - 9:30 am at Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The longest and fastest riders start first. The ride begins at the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers. It goes on the Rio Grande Trail which follows the scenic Roaring Fork River. Then returns to Two Rivers Park for a chicken dinner and after the ride party.
Riders have a choice of three routes:
- Metric Century - Historic Woody Creek Tavern (actually 65 miles)
- Basalt High School 44 miles
- Carbondale, 22 miles
The ride returns to Two Rivers Park for a picnic meal and entertainment.
Early registration:
- $40. Adults
- $20. Kids 12 & under
After July 24th registration:
- $45 Adults
- $25 Kids 12 & under
Extra meal tickets $5 (order online or if available at park)
*If space is available you may register on site the day of the ride*
Registration includes:
- Caps for the first 250 who register
- Goodie bag
- SAG stops with porta-a-potties, fresh fruit, refreshments, and lots of water
- Crossing monitors and roving safety patrols
- Post ride meal (additional meal tickets can be purchased)
Package Pick Up: Pick up your ride package in advance at Fin's Grille Downtown Glenwood Springs on Thursday, August 5th after 3:00 pm, or Friday, August 6th 11:00 am - 10:00 pm. Or, Saturday August 7th at Two Rivers Park starting at 7:00 am. There are special event caps for the first 250 who register.
