Treatment resistant breast cancers account for more than 25% of all breast cancer deaths, yet research on these aggressive cancers is grossly underfunded. You can help fund critical research by participating in the Pink Pumpkin Pedal-Off!
The Pedal-Off will end at the Pink Pumpkin Fest where you'll recover with a warm lunch, then select your very own pink pumpkin from our "patch" and decorate it to honor a loved one who's been touched by breast cancer.
Bring the kids along, too, because there's a Pee Wee Pedal-Off for kids ages 12 and under. They'll have a chance to decorate their bikes, participate in a parade and compete for prizes for best-decorated bike!
Are you feeling EXTRA PINK? Arrive at the Pedal-Off in style by purchasing a copyrighted, one-of-a kind Pink Ribbon Cycling Jersey ("www.pinkribbonjersey.com") and show your support! All proceeds from sales of the jersey go directly to the treatment-resistant breast cancer research fund at UF & Shands!
Can't ride but still want to participate? Sign up to "SPIN for the Cure" and visit "www.mylifestylewellness.com" for more details. You will get an event t-shirt and all the goodies plus the pleasure of knowing you've gone PINK for the Cure!
Each rider will be allowed to pre-order up to three personalized pink ribbons to be worn the day of the Pedal-Off. Simply provide us with the name(s) you'd like to commemorate loved ones (up to 18 characters each), and we'll have your pink ribbons ready for you at packet pick-up.
Pink Pumpkin TOP FUNDRAISERS will receive prizes for collecting donations for the Cure! Checks should be made payable to "CSCRB" (Collaboration of Scientists for Critical Research in Biomedicine), the registered non-profit that supports this important research at UF & Shands. All donations are tax-deductible.
