Brief Description

Lake Winnebago, one of the largest inland lakes in the United States and the most popular lake in Wisconsin will be the 90 mile course for the event. This is the LONGEST timed, all citizen bike race in the United States. We welcome the blending of all cycling lovers, including the professional, triathlete, tandem, recumbent, and recreational cyclist. The 6th annual one-of-a-kind 90 mile bike event travels along the Lake Winnebago shoreline; starting and finishing in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Team Challenge

Teams, Clubs or Corporate Groups with 5 or more participants registered by 11:59 p.m. on August 1st - NO EXCEPTIONS. Each team member must fill out a separate registration form, and a team roster MUST be filled out. A team roster must be submitted by August 1st for your team to be scored. Team members DO NOT have to ride in the same wave. Additional team members WILL NOT be accepted after 11:59 p.m. August 1st. Visit www.midwestsportsevents.com for more details.

Registration & Packet Pick-Up

Registration and Packet Pick-up will be available:

- Saturday, August 17th at Lakeside Park, 156 E. Harbor View Dr, Fond du Lac, from 11-5 p.m.

- Race morning from 4-5:30 a.m. at the start

Clinic and Course Talks

Course and clinic talks will be held on Saturday, August 17th at Lakeside Park.

Check our website, www.midwestsportsevents.com often for updates and details regarding the expo, packet pick-up, course and clinic talks. A complete list and schedule of clinic talks will be posted on the website three weeks before the event.

The Course

The course travels 90 miles around scenic Lake Winnebago. Course includes: Fond du Lac, Winnebago, Outagamie and Calumet Counties. The start and finish is at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. Course heads north hugging the lake through then finishes at Lake Side Park, Fond du Lac. Riders will see a plethora of sites: the Lighthouse in Oshkosh, the climb up “High Cliff” at High Cliff State Park and down the panoramic east shoreline of Lake Winnebago.

Course Support

Six aid stations with food, Gatorade and water. Bottle Exchange at High Cliff State Park and Marytown. The course will be well marked

WHEEL & SPROCKET provides excellent technical support along the course.

$5,000 M.P.H PRIME

Old Fashioned Foods will be sponsoring a $5,000 prize for the first individual to cross the finish line and break the current mile per hour record.

Additional Prize Money

Over $11,000 in prize money to the top female and male finishers; determined by depth of field! Must be in Pro First Wave to qualify for prize money. First Wave will also be eligible for age group awards.

Rules

Absolutely no using aerobars in ANY WAVE. Bike with aerobars are restricted to waves 5-12.

Those who would like to be Pro Wave 1 must provide proof of performances averaging 26 mph+ in races 60+ miles or list USCF Category and number.

Age Group Awards

Overall awards to the top female and male and age group winners in the following 5 year increment age categories: 10 & under, 11-14 to 99 plus. Awards to the top 3 relay teams, tandem, and recumbent. Participation medal to all finishers!

Midwest Sports Events Amenities

All participants receive a PASTA FEAST, massages, stretching, dri-wick shirt and chip timing! Beer will be provided for all participants.

What to Expect

Intersections are controlled with police and volunteers. Although intersections are controlled the entire course is open to traffic if cars approach from behind you must move to the shoulder and ride single file. On Hwy 114 Bikers must ride in right lane. On Cty WH to Hwy 151 bikers must ride Single file.

You must arrive at High Cliff State Park by 10:30 a.m. to continue the second half. You must complete the entire event within 7 hours 40 minutes, a pace of approximately 12.7 mph.

Midwest Sports Events Refund Policy

There will be NO REFUNDS issued for ANY reason. There are absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.

TRANSFER FROM 2013 TO 2014 EVENT There will be NO TRANSFERS from this year's event to future year events.

RACE FEE TRANSFER There will be NO TRANSFER OF FEES from one race to another.

TRANSFER TO ANOTHER ATHLETE Race fee can be transfered to another individual, however there is $15 processing fee to complete the transfer.
