Join the ride to empower kids for health!
It’s time again to tune up your bikes and ride to support Danialle Karmanos’ Work It Out (DKWIO). In its second year, this fun-filled, one-day ride raises funds for DKWIO to provide healthy programming for Michigan youth.
Riders start from Campus Martius Park, with a “Ride Rally” from 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. The team will then ride to Metro Beach, where lunch will be served between 11 a.m. and noon. After lunch, riders will return to Campus Martius Park for a celebration!
We only have spots for 150 riders, so don’t wait to register. And, be sure to invite friends and family who are 18 years and older to join the ride.
Your registration fee of $50 covers your rider number and your sure-to-be-cool official ride jersey. As a rider, however, you can be a part of something even bigger. If each rider achieves at least $250 in donations, that’s an extra $37,500 to give kids and families the tools they need to make healthy choices.
You can also volunteer or come to cheer on the riders as they finish the ride. We encourage you to invite your friends and family to join us for this wonderful event!
Founded in 2005, Danialle Karmanos’ Work It Out (DKWIO) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit program, DKWIO uses a holistic and yoga-based approach to deliver quality programming and wellness resources that give kids and families the tools to make healthy choices.
Wheel House Detroit is a wonderful bike shop and will be our ride support this year. They are located on the Detroit RiverWalk at 1340 E. Atwater just three blocks east of the Ren Cen.
