Description
The 3F Century is Flat, Fast, and Fun. Starting in Colusa the ride travels along the Sacramento River, traveling to the Tisdale Weir and back through the Sutter Basin rice growing area. Heading toward the town of Sutter you have a wondersful view of the Sutter Buttes. You travel around the southern and eastern edges of the Buttes and ride through the Gray Lodge National Wildlife Refuge. As you leave the Refuge area you once again follow the Sacramento River back to the town of Colusa. If you want a first century that doesn't have the heart-pounding, thigh-busting hills of many centuries this is the ride for you.
The after-ride meal is fantastic. Many riders come back to the ride because they enjoy the meal so much - pulled pork and a rice dish that is to-die-for.
