JOIN US IN RANDOLPH COUNTY!
SIGN IN: Participants should sign in and pick up ride packets between 7:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. at Providence Grove High School. (See map)
START: Bike ride will begin at 8:30 a.m. sharp (Rain or Shine!)
ROUTE: 10, 20, 40 and 62 mile routes will be offered with the start and finish at the school. The course will go through-out portions of rural Randolph, Chatham, and Alamance Counties. All courses are rolling to hilly. Minimal traffic and beautiful scenery are the order of the day for this scenic course. Bring a friend and enjoy a great day of riding. Rest stops will be located approximately 15 miles apart along the course. Personal support teams are welcome. Sag wagons will be available. Support will be available until 1:30 p.m.
WHAT YOU GET: All participants get a "Tour de Lions" t-shirt. Registrations received in advance will be guaranteed a door prize. Course maps and participant numbers will be provided plus you get:
REFRESHMENTS: A wide variety of refreshments will be available at each rest stop and the finish. We promise you won't be hungry! Lunch will be provided.
REGISTRATION FEE:
$20 per person in advance by May 19,2011
$25 per person (day of ride)
$10 per person (age 13-16)
Free for children 12 & under (Must be accompanied by an adult)
ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE LIONS CLUB FOR HELP IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:
* White Cane - statewide and local
* Support Camp Dogwood - A recreational facility for the blind
* Glasses and eye exams - local
* Hearing impaired
* Visually Impaired Persons Fishing Tournament
* Transportation to eye & hearing doctor if needed
* Other special community needs (family hardships, etc.)
* Leader Dog Program
* Boys & Girls Home - Lake Waccamaw, NC
