The STIHL Tour des Trees is the signature fundraising event of the TREE Fund, a 501(c)3 foundation providing funding for scholarships, research and educational programs in arboriculture and urban forestry.
The 2010 Tour rolls out from Millennium Park, Chicago, on July 18, then heads north and west to the Mississippi. 500 miles and 15-20 tree plantings later, the Tour concludes on July 24 with a 1-day, 30-mile “Ride for Research” in Chicago’s western suburbs and a finale celebration at the Morton Arboretum. Full-Tour riders commit to raising a minimum of $3,500 to support tree research and education. Riders may opt to join the Tour en route, with a fundraising commitment of $600 per day. Entrance fee for the July 24 “Ride for Research” only is $75. (Full-Tour registration fee includes July 24 “Ride for Research”).
