The mission of our all women's ride will be to raise community awareness and funding for Breast Cancer Research, Cancer Research and Cancer Survivorship.
To accomplish this mission, Grabmywheel.org will be holding a woman's only cycling event "le Tour de Femme" on Saturday October 10, 2009 departing and returning to Cycling Spoken Here in Cary, North Carolina.
This event will consist of:
• A bicycle ride departing from and returning to the Cycling Spoken Here Store in Cary
• A post-ride celebration
The ride will allow female cyclists of all skill levels to participate in a ride of 15 miles, 31.2 miles or 62.4 miles in length.
The post-ride celebration will allow our participants to bask in the glory of their accomplishments and intermingle with one another and the sponsors while enjoying post race refreshments.
Our goal is to raise $60,000 for The Angel Fund of Rex Hospital and The Lance Armstrong Foundation while at the same time promoting an athletic lifestyle that comes along with cycling.
