Additional Information

The Urology Health Foundation is promoting prostate cancer awareness and the importance of early detection by sponsoring this cycling event. We hope to encourage all men 40 years of age and older to have yearly examinations. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in American men, behind only lung cancer. One in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime. One in 4 African-American men will be diagnosed. Finding prostate cancer early can be difficult because it usually does not have any symptoms. That is why it is important to be screened yearly. Prostate cancer screening is done with a digital rectal exam and a prostate specific antigen test (PSA). It only takes 10 minutes to perform these examinations and it could save a man’s life. All proceeds will go to Urology Health Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your donation is tax deductible. For more information, please visit www.UrologyHealthFoundation.org
