Brief Description

Ride for Relay will lead the final lap around the Polk County Historic Courthouse History Center as we wrap up Bartow’s Relay For Life on Saturday morning, April 13th. A 24+ mile ride for a 24.00 donation to the American Cancer Society, will symbolize the 24 hours in the life of a cancer patient. Cyclists coming together as a family to help with the fight against cancer is what this ride is all about.

Ride Details

Please note that this is a simple, reflective ride. There will be maps because the roads will not be marked. The ride will take you to Fowlers Grocery in Ft. Meade which is 16 miles from the staging area. (yes, this is a little longer than 24 miles.) At Fowlers you will be able to use the bathroom and grab a drink if you need it. You will turn around and come back the same route.

All proceeds from this ride will go to The America Cancer Society for Relay For LIfe Bartow.

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fund raising event and the Bartow Relay ranks in the top 25 out of over 300+ Relay’s in the state of Florida. Your $24.00 donation will include lunch & drinks. We all know someone who has or had cancer and it does not discriminate. Cancer does not care but we do...Come out and celebrate, honor and remember those who have been touched by cancer and help us help them with the fight to find a cure. The staging area is Ft. Blount Park, Downtown Bartow at Main & Broadway. The final, Ride For Relay lap, will start 8:00am, Saturday, April 13th, 2013.
