Brief Description

Competitors will climb 5 miles from the foot of Town Mountain Road to the crest. There is one flat section midway. There will be a tent at the finish line, and it will be clearly marked. After crossing the finish line, it is the rider’s responsibility to turn around and COAST back to the start area. (The descent is NOT part of the race)

Come out on Friday, September 7th for a time trial up Town Mountain. Whether you are getting ready for cross season, staying fit for road or mountain biking, or maybe you have never raced, well it doesn't matter- this is a great course to test yourself on. Join us for the 30th annual event and have a great time racing the clock up the mountain.

Directions

I-240 into Asheville, Charlotte Street Exit 5B, turn South heading toward downtown, left on College Street, left on Town Mountain Road, tents and registration on right before bridge!

Additional Information

A USAC license is required. One-day licenses will be available at registration for $10. Racers may pre-register either by mail or on-line at www.active.com Start times posted Thursday, Sept. 6, 5:00 pm, at www.ashevillewomenscycling.com Riders will be assigned start times on a first to register, last to start basis. Day-of registration will open at 4:00 and close at 5:45 pm. All riders MUST pick up their race number at registration by 5:45 pm! First rider off at 6:00 pm. Cost is $15 per racer, prizes 3 deep in each category. NO vehicles are allowed at the finish line. The course is open to vehicle traffic, therefore for everyone’s safety, no support vehicles are allowed on the course. ANY RIDER WITH A CAR ON THE COURSE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!
