Additional Information
Imagine the impression made on the school children as they see 100 bicycle riders arrive, escorted by police cars with lights flashing! The kids have been waiting and they cheer when they see us. Riders in past years have told us that this is the most gratifying aspect of the Ride.
Training rides are organized during the summer at various locations. Sag support is available for riders on event day and during some training rides. Riders must be certified by the Ride Committee for safety.
Riders commit to raising just $300 each, and to attend training rides. The donations you raise support the mission of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children/New York Branch (NCMEC/NY).
Reciprocal (sister) Riders are welcome to register after June 1, using the Reciprocal Rider category. A reciprocal Rider is someone who has participated in any of the other four Rides for Missing Children around N.Y. State, and has fulfilled their fundraising commitment for this calender year. Because the Ride for Missing Children - Greater Capital District is restricted to just 100 riders, we must reserve the right to limit the number of reciprocal Riders we can accept.
