Brief Description

This is the USAT South MidWest Junior Triathlon Skills Camp for athletes 11-19 years old interested in learning about or increasing their knowledge in the sport of triathlon. Participants will receive skill and competency ratings in swim/bike/run, learn more about open water racing, meet with coaches about training plan design, meet Elite Junior athletes, learn the basics of nutrition and sport psychology, have an in-depth experience with bike maintenance, and more in a fun, safe environment.

Late Registration

Participants: $425 until March 31, 2011. $475 April 1 to May 31, 2011. $525 June 1 to June 15, 2011.

Cancellation

Fully refundable Before March 31, 2011. April 1- June 1 participants may receive a 50% refund. No refunds after June 1. ONLY WRITTEN CANCELLATION REQUESTS ACCEPTED. For information contact the event director.

Travel

Athletes are responsible for travel to and from San Antonio. Flights are to San Antonio International Airport (SATX). If you arrive outside of the camp dates please visit the event website for hotel suggestions. A shuttle will be available on July 4 and July 8 to take athletes/coaches to and from UTSA campus.

Check In/ Check Out

Check in is on July 4 from 3:00-4:30 pm. Check out is July 8 at 11:00 am.

Camp Itinerary

A detailed itinerary will be emailed to each participant in early June.

What to Expect

This is the USAT South MidWest Junior Triathlon Skills Camp for athletes 11-19 years old interested in learning about or increasing their knowledge in the sport of triathlon. Parent Meeting

All parents are encouraged to attend the parent meeting on Monday July 4 from 5p-6p. Camp details and athlete development will be the topics of discussion. Parents may also stay for dinner with the athletes in the Road Runner Cafe. Cost TBA.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States.
