Learn to Swim 1 & 2 (Session 13) 5:00pm

About This Activity

Learn-to-Swim Level 1/2 Fundamental Aquatic Skills (5 ½ to 15 years) is a combined class designed for beginners, teaching elementary aquatic and locomotion skills. At this level, participants become comfortable in the water and begin to develop good swimming habits and safe practices in and around the water. Participants will also learn to float without support and to recover to a vertical position. Finally, they will develop simultaneous and alternating arm and leg actions on the front and back that lay the foundation for future strokes. Exit skills include entering and moving through the water, floating on the front and back, and swimming independently using arm and leg movements with assistance when taking a breath.
