About This Activity

Everyone is welcome to take part in the Cupcake Road Race benefiting The Place of Forsyth. Whether you are a walker, runner, or stroller you will earn a cupcake from Gigi's Cupcakes located in The Forum on Peachtree Parkway. Gigi's Cupcakes were voted the best cupcake in Atlanta in 2012!! The Cupcake Road Race has a distance to please all runners and walkers with a 5k, a 15k, and a 1/2 mile Baby Cake Run. All pre-registered participants will be entered to win exciting door prizes.
Registration

Can register in person at 3 locations: Totally Running Cumming (405 Peachtree Pkwy) Totally Running Townelake (2265 Townelake Pkwy) Gigi's Cupcakes at the Forum in Peachtree Corners

Packet pick up

Friday 11 am - 6 pm at Totally Running in Cumming. Packets can be picked up on race day beginning at 6am. Runners are encouraged to pre-register to ensure chip timing. Registration will be open race day at 6am and close at 7am.

Race Times

15k - 7:30 am 5k - 8:30 am Baby Cake Run - 9:30 am

Awards & Festivals

There will be a finish line party at Totally Running, 405 Peachtree Pkwy (across from the Avenues of Forsyth). Gigi's Cupcakes will be raffling a birthday party for all pre-registered Baby Cake Runners. Many door prizes will be raffled to pre-registered participants in all races. Awards will be presented to the the top 3 male/female overall, as well as the top 3 male/female in all the typical age groups starting at 19 & under through 65+.

Shirt & Goodies

All participants registered by February 15th are guaranteed a cotton/poly blend race shirt in their size, and a goody bag. All registrations after 2/15 will receive a shirt while supplies last. Baby Cake entry fee does not include race shirt.

The Place is a nonprofit Social Service Organization that has been serving Forsyth County families in difficult times since 1975 with emergency basic needs. The Place also operates a thrift store onsite providing affordable merchandise, all sales support agency operations. Residents in need of assistance should call the program office at 770-887-1098 for an appointment. You will learn what information and documentation you are required to bring to your scheduled appointment. These documents are critical for the caseworker to determine the best way to assess your needs Each year our work expands to ensure that we are able to assist the growing population and changing needs of our residents. The Place has provided emergency basic needs in Forsyth County since its inception. We operate through the financial support received from our donors, grants, thrift store sales and the United Way of Forsyth County and donations are critical to our survival. We also rely on many dedicated volunteers to help us carry out our vital mission.
