About This Activity

The 1st Class Pre-K program is designed to provide children with a diverse, exciting, and stimulating environment where everyone feels relaxed and ready to learn and play. Class time and special activities are planned according to themes designed to meet the individual needs of children during this active time of growth and development. The curriculum encourages an enthusiastic and receptive attitude toward school, with an emphasis on Kindergarten. Activities which include letter and sound recognition, shape and number recognition, math, reading, and art, are centered around seasonal themes or a particular letter of the alphabet. The children also engage in outside and inside activity with the opportunity to be involved in small and large groups. Alternative dispute resolution is incorporated to arm the children tools to manage conflict. Please pack a healthy snack and lunch. During snack and lunch breaks, good table manners will be encouraged.  Note: A $20 materials fee is due at the first of each month. There is no prorating and sign ups are on a first come first serve basis.  Students must be potty trained. Extended hours, Noon-3 are offered at an additional cost if mornings are full.
