BEGINNING HORSEBACK RIDING

Students will learn to ride a horse independently at the walk and begin to trot, also to post and ride in 2-point position.
Basic position and commands will be emphasized through fun drills and games on horseback.
Register early as this class only accepts 4 students.
Simply pick 6 Wednesdays between 6/20 and 8/15 to attend as your schedule allows.
One stipulation - You must attend the first class on either 6/20, 6/27, or 7/11.
If registering by mail, please write the 6 dates you plan to attend on the registration form. These can be changed later by contacting the instructor, if your schedule changes.
(No lessons will be held on 7/4)
Horses used are Norwegian Fjords (pronounced fee-ords)
Norwegian Fjord Horse is a relatively small but very strong horse breed from the mountainous regions of Western Norway. It is an agile breed of light draft horse build and one of the world's oldest breeds, it has been used for hundreds of years as a farm horse in Norway. The Norwegian Fjord Horse possess a charming and gentle disposition and all around versitility - it excels at farm / draft work, saddle, jumping, dressage and just being a good companion.
