This is a Department of Natural Resources licensed course that consists of a basic eight hours of classroom instruction on the principles of boating safety. The course content includes learning all about boats, legal requirements, navigation rules, safety regulations, waterway marking systems, preparation, loading, boarding, cruising, docking, anchoring, knots, trailering, courtesy and maintenance. Also covered are boat accidents, emergency measures, aquatic safety, alcohol usage, visual distress signals, fire on board, and first aid.
You MUST attend both days that this course is scheduled to be held, for a total of eight hours of classroom instruction, to pass this course, and receive your DNR licensed certification. The instructor handles the distribution of the certifcations, after he determines you have successfully completed the course.
You need to register for the class in-advance, with the Cudahy Rec. Dept.

Class held at Cudahy High School in LGI Room, 4950 S. Lake Drive (Student Parking Lot closed May 18 - please use Teacher Parking Lot at North end of CHS next to church, enter building from North end and walk down to South end of HS, turn down hallway by Guidance to LGI Room.)
