Before you apply for a volunteer position at Camp Quest Chesapeake you should know that: 1) All staff positions are unpaid and all staff members must arrange their own transportation to and from our host camp, Chesapeake. We can pick you up and drop you off at the closest airport. 2) In exchange for your time, passion, and hard work you will have the opportunity to participate in a community like no other, making friends, empowering youth, creating awesome memories, and helping to shape the future! In addition, you will receive a full week of lodging and meals. 3) Prior to volunteering at Camp Quest Chesapeake, you will be required to complete approximately six hours of online safety and youth development training. The mandatory training will be made available to you at least 2 months in advance of camp, and must be completed 2 weeks prior to the start of your session. 4) Volunteer staff are required to attend a day long staff training at the host camp the day prior to the first day of your camp session. Pre-camp in person training will begin at 10A on 2016-07-16. 5) During camp, staff will be required to participate in camp activities from approximately 8am to 11pm and all staff are responsible for camper supervision 24/7. When possible staff will be given break opportunities, on-site and scheduled with the camp director. 6) All staff must be 18 years old by the first day of their camp session. If you'll be 17 on the first day of camp, fill out the standard application.
