Tai Chi- Moving for Better Balance- MINI SESSION

About This Activity

Try our new, evidence based falls prevention tai chi class, specifically tailored for adults ages 50 and over. The protocol involves a set of simple, continuous, rhythmic, and functional tai chi based movements, transforming these movements into thereauputic training of balance and daily functioning. We will focus on the training of sensory systems through voluntary movements such as weight shifting from foot to foot, trunk rotation, ankle sway and many more exercises.

Chair supported practices, progressing from completely seated, through sit and stand can be used.  We will try to meet the specific needs and capabilities of each individual.
