Brief Description

The Walk for a Cause will be held on May 15, at the Qualcomm Stadium Practice Field, starting at 8:00 a.m. Those planning to take the trip at a leisurely (or brisk) walk will include moms pushing their little ones in strollers, kids of all ages, and pet lovers walking their dogs. This event benefits the San Diego River Park Foundation, whose vision is to establish trails, parks, and education centers at points along the entire 52-mile river; saving it for future generations.

Event T-Shirts

Participants in the Healthy River 5-Mile Walk for a Cause will receive an event T-shirt. Additional event T-shirts will be available at San Diego RiverFest for $15.00. Come to RiverFest after the Healthy River Run/Walk

San Diego RiverFest will be held May 15, at the Qualcomm Stadium Practice Field, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Over 5,000 are expected to attend a day filled with live music, arts, crafts; with exhibits on water conservation, saving energy, the environment, healthy living and outdoor recreation. 1. Drive NORTH on I-5 to 805 2. Turn EAST on I-8 3. Turn NORTH on Mission Gorge 4. Turn WEST on San Diego Mission Rd 5. Look for the entrance gate on your LEFT

Directions: East County

1. Drive WEST on I-8 2. Turn off the Mission Gorge off-ramp 3. Turn NORTH on Mission Gorge 4. Turn WEST on San Diego Mission Rd 5. Look for the entrance gate on your LEFT

Public Transportation

The San Diego Metropolitan Transportation System (MTS) provides convenient access to Qualcomm Stadium via the trolley and bus lines. Using the MTS systems will speed up your access to the stadium and help you avoid congested highways.

Kids 5 and under are FREE. Kids 6 through 12 only $10. FOR THE HEALTHY RIVER 5-MILE WALK FOR A CAUSE, we offer team discount rates. Families, groups, corporations, clubs, or organizations with 10 or more entries, and pay only $20.00 each. For multiple registration discounts, please enter your first registration, then on the "Submit Payment" page, click "Register Someone Else," and proceed to register your next participant(s). The discount will be automatically deducted.
