Instructor: Bill Semf Hone in your lockpicking skills at the Columbus Idea Foundry with Bill Sempf – president of Columbus Locksport International. The intermediate class is for those who have already taken Intro to Locksport. Picking locks is just the beginning. At the next level, you'll get an understanding of how locks really work by taking one apart with Field Stripping and seeing how everything goes back together. You'll build a key from a blank with nothing but the lock and a file using Impressioning. If you have taken the Intro to Locksport course and enjoyed it, maybe even made it out to a few Locksport Meetups, and wondered what was next, then this class is for you. You will leave with your lock core, a plug follower, and the keys you make. Bring your picks!! Max 10 folks. L.I is made up of people who are interested in physical security, such as bypassing locks, learning new techniques for opening difficult locks, and connecting people. Locksport International and the Columbus Idea Foundry abide by the laws set down in each State or Providence (for our Canadian neighbors). Likewise we have our own code of ethics we adhere to. They’re almost all common sense rules that you should always practice. You should never pick locks that you don’t own, or that you don’t have the owners explicit permission to pick. We enjoy helping the community, not hurting it.
