What's Included

OpenSCAD is a free & open-source modeling language that lets you make accurate models for 3D printing for CNC. Procedural (also known as "parametric") models let you define functions and variables to control your model as opposed to drawing it such as in regular CAD software. This means you create and adjust models with code--which is powerful for creating technical, modular and interlocking parts where you need the ability to make small adjustments without redrawing individual elements. This introductory class will overview: intro to procedural modeling and creating modules, optimizing fabrication workflow with external files ("includes"). You will need: your own computer with OpenSCAD installed and ready to go ( and an idea of the type of part you'd want to design (optional). You should be familiar with basic coding principles and computer literate.
