What's Included

Instructor: Ethan Dicks This class will cover what the Raspberry Pi is, differences among the models, some popular Linux distributions for it, and some examples involving simple scripts, and physical computing with direct GPIO Pins as well as an attached Arduino "helper" processor. Students can bring their own Raspberry Pi or use one during the class. Components for the physical computing portion of the class will be available for use. Prior experience with Linux useful but not required.

The Columbus Idea Foundry is Ohio’s largest community workshop, maker space, and learning center.  We offer variety of conventional and high tech tools: wood shop, metal smithing and foundry, laser cutter & engraver, CNC ShopBot, electronics, jewelry, warm glass, photography, and more.
