Get a grip on the potential power of (almost) free, social marketing to keep your friends, fans, and followers interested and engaged. Boost your confidence in navigating the top social networks for promoting your business along with several powerful apps to streamline your social media strategy so you can get back to doing the real work of your business. We'll overview: *Setting up and navigating business profiles for Facebook & Twitter platforms *words, images, and video, oh my! Some mediums are better conveyed on certain platforms. We'll cover what's popular where so you know what grabs your followers' attention. *Automation- we'll show you how to set up scheduled & synced posts & tweets. *Understanding analytics and page stats--reading the story your page stats can tell you a lot about how your fans interact with you, and if what you are doing is working. *The Social Media Octopus- you don't have the time, energy, or interest to manage a myriad of social media platforms? We'll cover how to hone in on your target market and pick the top 1-2 platforms to focus on. *Who is listening? Get the lo down on the demographics of the type of people who prefer which social media platforms. Where is your target market? This is where you'll get the most for your time. Bring a laptop or just follow along on the projector-- there's no rush to generate a page if you're not yet ready. About This Organizer

The Columbus Idea Foundry is Ohio’s largest community workshop, maker space, and learning center.  We offer variety of conventional and high tech tools: wood shop, metal smithing and foundry, laser cutter & engraver, CNC ShopBot, electronics, jewelry, warm glass, photography, and more.

We are home to 20 in-house artists, artisans and small businesses, have a rich network of more than 150 members including 50+ entrepreneurs.
