What's Included

Instructor: Don Sell. Enjoy deck & patio weather with an Adirondack chair hand-crafted by YOU, knocked out in a weekend at the CIF! The beauty of the Adirondack chair, designed by Thomas Lee while vacationing on the shores of Lake Champlain in the Adirondack Mountains in 1903, is its simplicity. With wide arms and a leaned-back seating position these chairs are perfect for a relaxing afternoon on the deck, patio, or lawn. This is a great project for the beginner or the accomplished woodworker alike. Made from Cedar, your chair requires only minimal maintenance to last for many years. The class fee includes all materials to make one chair, and along with step-by-step instruction, we'll cover: • The tools required and how to use them • What to look for in selecting the wood to be used • Using a band saw to cut out the shape • Use a router with a pattern bit to refine your shapes • Cutting the tapered slats on a table saw. • Step by step instructions by an experienced instructor • We will also suggest future project ideas This class requires 2 sessions to complete the project, and we'll meet 10a-3p both Saturday and Sunday. Hurry! Class registration closes June 24th to allow for material acquisition. ****Want to bring a spouse or friend and make TWO chairs? Register both individuals at the same time and use the coupon code DoubleAdir2014 to receive a $25 discount!****
