What's Included

Instructor: Levi Crumley In this orientation to the metal shop, each student will build a handy tool tray for use in the shop. After design and layout, you'll cut the metal to size using a shear then form the tray using a sheet metal brake. Afterwards you'll rivet it together and attach the handle. This course will cover all of the basic sheet metal tools and techniques. No experience needed, and safety equipment will be provided. Please dress appropriately with close-toed shoes.

The Columbus Idea Foundry is Ohio’s largest community workshop, maker space, and learning center.  We offer variety of conventional and high tech tools: wood shop, metal smithing and foundry, laser cutter & engraver, CNC ShopBot, electronics, jewelry, warm glass, photography, and more.
