Pedaling for Kids is a charity that raises funds to purchase needed equipment for disabled children in Columbus, GA and our surrounding communities.
3-day across-the-state ride. 257 miles Columbus to Savannah. Cyclists must be prepared and can expect to maintain a pace of 16 mph. If a cyclist is unknown to the ride committee a test ride made be required to make sure the cyclist is able to accomplish the ride. Cyclists must raise $500 for the Pedaling for Kids charity as the charity provides hotel accomodations for riders both nights and transportation back to Columbus from Savannah on Sunday. Each cyclist also receives a PFK road jersey, a swag bag, SAG protection and support. 2-person or 4-person teams may also participate; although the pace of 16 mph must be maintained, the team members can alternate riders (ie, on a 4-person team, each member rides 25 miles of the 100-mile day). Each 4-person team is asked to provide a vehicle. Teams raise $1000. For more information, please visit our website: www.pedalingforkids.org
