1-2-3 Magic, based on the bestselling book series, is a nationally recognized program for parents who want to reduce challenging behaviors and improve positive behaviors in children 2-12 years. In this workshop, parents will receive an overview of the 1-2-3 Magic strategy and learn two of the techniques: the Counting Method and Positive Praise. Using these techniques, parents can learn how to stop their children's negative behaviors, such as whining, arguing, yelling, and tantrums, and how to encourage positive behaviors regarding homework, cleaning up, eating, bedtime, and getting ready.
The workshop will be led by Lacey Tsonis, Training Coordinator for the Howard County Office of Children's Services, who had the pleasure of being trained on 1-2-3 Magic by Dr. Phelan.
Space is limited so participants must register and pay in advance. This event is for adults only; no child care is available.
